In August we offered a home to a total of 53 children (24 girls, 29 boys). Two of them are newcomers: Asiimwe Steven and Mable Gift Biira. Asiimwe Steven was left at Fort Portal Regional Hospital by unknown persons. He is in good health. The mother of Mable Gift Biira is in poor mental health and therefore also left her child behind. Around 5am yesterday morning, a baby was abandoned by its mother next to a river near a school. On the way to school, some children heard the baby cry and let their mothers know.
