In June two children were admitted to Toro Babies Home. One of them is a girl named Joy who lost her mother when she was just one week old. Her relatives are unable to take care of her, which is why she was referred to Toro Babies Home by the probation officer for care and protection. She was first admitted at Maranatha and later referred to Buhinga Hospital due to difficulties in breathing caused by cough and flu. She is now improving.
The second child is Baguma Ezekiel, who was abandoned in a banana plantation by an unknown person. He was later rescued by the plantation manager who heard the baby crying. The case was reported to the police and the probation officer, who referred the baby to Toro Babies Home for care. Thankfully, he is in good health.
