
Toro Babies Home (TBH) is pleased to introduce Ruth Tumusiime as the new Warden or Matron effective 1st March, 2025.

Ruth Tumusiime who holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Social Work and Social Administration brings to Toro Babies Home 12 years of experience in social work and childcare and passionate leadership committed to providing a secure and nurturing space for abandoned babies and children in the Rwenzori region.
In this role, Ruth will be responsible for overseeing the overall management and operations of Toro Babies Home, including;
- Providing overall administration of TBH
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure TBH sustainability and growth
- Making the vision of TBH clear to employees, motivate and guide employees through work process
- Liaising with donors, government departments, NGO’s and other stakeholders to foster accomplishment of TBH vision and mission
- Participating in fundraising activities of TBH both local and international
We are confident that Ruth’s leadership and vision will help many abandoned children receive a deserving childhood like every child should and will help Toro Babies Home grow as an institution to greater heights in the coming years.
