

A bright sunny morning with clear blue skies meant an exceptional day loomed at Toro Babies Home. Time check, 11.00am EAT when the Pupils together with the administration of Mary and Joseph Nursery and Primary School located in Fort Portal, Uganda paid a courtesy visit to Toro Babies Home on Friday 11th, April, 2025.
A delegation of over 100 children led by the Head Girl Megan represented the school to donate a huge Easter hamper mobilized by the pupils to their fellows at Toro Babies Home. Items including matooke, sweet bananas, biscuits, sugar cane, bread, plantains, avocados, sugar, diapers, detergents, soap, clothes, towels, shoes and cash among other goodies were handed over to the Warden.

The generous children were excited to interact with their fellows in various houses. They were seen carrying, smiling, laughing and rhyming with the babies.
Megan, the Head Girl expressed her gratitude to her colleagues, parents and their school administration who enabled them to mobilize the Easter Hamper. She thanked the team at Toro Babies Home and the community led by the warden for the wonderful work they are doing to keep the babies alive and happy.
The Deputy Headteacher Mr. Asaba Ronald thanked his students for the great showing and coming up with the thoughtful initiative. He thanked the Warden for the great reception and promised that such visits at Toro Babies Home by Mary and Joseph Nursery and Primary School will continue in future.
The children later had a good time in the home’s play park engaging in various games before signing out after a remarkable visit.
Toro Babies Home Warden, Ruth Tumusiime expressed her pleasure for the children’s gesture and commended their thoughtfulness at such tender ages. She blessed them and led them on a tour of the home.
