New Kitchen

5 October 2023

What was long overdue has now been implemented: a new kitchen with firewood. The old kitchen was becoming increasingly threatening to the health of the cooks and also consumed more resources than necessary due to the many damages. Cooking with wood will however be maintained, as this is also part of the traditional cuisine and it makes more sense to let some dishes simmer on ... read more

Fortunately, we were also successful in recruiting new Relief Mothers, Atuhairwe Lucy and Komuhendo Esther, as well as a new staff member for our gardens, Kato Richard. We extend a warm welcome to them! ... read more

In the meantime, we provided shelter for 2 boys who were rescued by the police from an abduction situation (see article dated 21 July 2023). They were ... read more

We hope she is in a better place now and rests in peace. Despite some challenges in May, the baby home is doing well. Four babies were taken in, one girl and three boys. The parents and ... read more
