We are deeply grateful for the exceptional support shown by Prof. Edward Rugumayo Amooti and his family to Toro Babies Home. For many years, the Rugumayo family has been a steadfast friend and supporter—both in spirit and through continued material contributions.
Each year, they cover the full cost of servicing our fire extinguishers—equipment they initially donated to us. During last year’s charity dinner, they once again showed their generosity with a donation of 500,000 UGX. Over time, they have also contributed regularly with in-kind donations that help ease the daily life of our children and staff.
Prof. Rugumayo and his beloved late wife, Mrs. Foibe Biteete Rugumayo, have long been actively involved in the life of our home. Mr. Rugumayo even served on our Board for five years. Hw and his wife held a deep and enduring love for the most vulnerable in society.
In a final, moving act of kindness, Mrs. Foibe Biteete Rugumayo had requested that all condolence donations and converted wreath offerings be given to Toro Babies Home upon her passing. Honoring her wishes, the Rugumayo family made a heartfelt contribution of 16,073,025 UGX, which was deposited into our account on July 14th, 2025.
Part of this donation will be used to purchase water filters, ensuring safe drinking water for our children. The family has also pledged their continued support—an encouraging sign of their lasting commitment to our cause.
