Anyone who doesn’t believe in miracles has never seen an abandoned baby in distress!
Dear friends and companions!
Belief in a miracle has never been as necessary as it is at the moment. A look at our children who are too parentless, who often have to fight their way through life with unbridled strength and defy various adversities, gives us reason to hope. Hope that everything can still turn out well in the end. This hope warms our hearts on a small scale, even though the world at large seems to be increasingly falling apart at the seams.
Some of our children struggle all their lives with the consequences of their tragic start in life, searching for their place in life, for helpful therapies, for dialogue with other sufferers, for social acceptance and medical understanding of their situation.
Together with our Norwegian friends from Children need Parents and our German friends from Partnerschaft Gesunde Welt – Klinikverbund Südwest e.V., we have initiated many changes and renovations at Toro Babies Home. These range from the recruitment of specialist staff for children with special needs, to the renovation of the children’s and staff houses, installation of solar power on our roof, the construction of a new cooking centre and lots more. We cover the staff costs, provide healthcare for the children and offer mutual support and motivation. These are just a few of the projects that we have developed over the last 10 years.
We have you to thank for the fact that we have been able to develop and realise all these projects. Your solidarity and support help us to realise all the urgently needed projects. The fact that you reliably stand by the very youngest despite the challenges that our society – the global community – is currently facing is our very special Christmas miracle.
We wish you and your family and friends a wonderful end to the year, peaceful holidays and a good start to the new year.
