Vania is a 9 month old Baby who was born of a very young mother in the district Kasese where she was living together with her husband. In one morning the father started accusing her cheating and that Vania is not his biological child. He said that he doesn’t want the child anymore and was threatening to kill Vania and the mother herself. Firstly, the mother ran to her own mothers place (Vania’s grandmother) in order to hide from her ex-husband but he was following them and still threatening to kill them. After that she ran to friends in Fort Portal but the father kept on tracking her phone. She decided to bring Vania into the Toro Babies Home where the father can not find her.
The ex-husband is still looking for her so she is still on her ran and is covering herself so that he can not recognize her. Vania’s mother is visiting her once in a while but she wants her daughter to be safe here in the Toro Babies Home.
